Democracy is Like a Three-Legged Stool

Each leg, the Legislative, Executive and Judicial Branches keeps the other legs in balance. But the balance doesn’t always work that way.

Today, the majorities of the Legislative Branches have ceded power and responsibilities to the Executive Branch.

The Executive Branch has issued Executive Orders. Some of which can’t be found anywhere in the Constitution.

The Supreme Court has the power to declare Executive Orders unconstitutional and order change, but the Court has no mechanism to enforce its Court Orders.

A 1-legged stool cannot stand in America.

However, there is sort of a 4th leg on the stool. The Public. Together, the American Public can exert tremendous power of persuasion on all 3 branches of government, so they stand up for America and every American. Remember, we don’t live in a Kingdom, this is still a Democracy. As long as the Public can rise up and hold onto it.
